Hunter Cross founded Ponticlaro in 2006 to build websites for artists, innovative forward-thinking businesses, non-profits, schools, and organizations. As Executive Director, his experience as a full stack enterprise web developer and iOS app developer is beneficial to his clients and their strategies for effective communication and service delivery online. In 2021, he won a “Best in Show” W3 Award for his work designing and developing contemporary art space RubyCity.org. His collaborations with Pentagram, Fifth Wall and Blopboard, were featured in the New York Times and Wired.

Artist
Hunter Cross studied at Trinity University, earning a BA in Studio Art, where he studied with artists Liz Ward, Patricia Simonite, and art historian Charles Talbot. He has traveled and contributed to art communities throughout the USA, Europe, and Mexico. He completed a permanent public artwork for the City of Austin in 2014, and his works are in several notable permanent collections.
In 2005, Hunter co-founded the local Austin artist collective Open Doors Collective and produced 4 major exhibitions: Open Doors, Open Doors Downtown, Open Doors In Between (City of Austin’s Doughtery Art Center), and Expansion (The Dallas Contemporary) from 2005-2009.
Musician
As a musician he played as part of The Strays, Forty Second Scandals and Cross & Castillo. He has played SXSW, Sidewalk Cafe (NYC), Bass Concert Hall (Austin), Fitzgerald’s (Houston), Continental Club (Austin), Emo’s (Austin), Beerland (Austin), Liberty Lunch (Austin). His animated music video for “Twisty Ties” was nominated for a SXSW Music Video award.
